CHAMOIS

Engineered specifically for triathletes, the PRO CARBON TRI Chamois is designed to provide triathletes with more protection for the long periods time spent in an aerodynamic position.  The unique multi-support construction eliminates pressure peaks that occur towards the nose of the saddle due to the low aero tri bike position.  This light-weight slim fitting tri pad is also designed to provide maximum freedom of movement to make the pad “disappear” when swimming and running.

My frist trisuit

This was a really hard decision due to the cost of trisuits and finding the right fit and feel when it's my first one.

First off, I ordered this because I loved the design! I am not sure why the elite versus ltd one are slightly different with the branding placement. I really liked the elite one, but I am not going to spend the money and it would probably be overkill for me.

I ended up ordering both a medium and small. I am 5'6", 140lbs, swimmer/athletic build, on the older side. The medium fit, but had some room in the crotch and in the tummy area. The small fits, a little tighter in the shoulders and chest (I am small chested too, but have a broad chest area), but no extra material bunching any where. It took me a week to decide and I finally went with the small.

I just tested it with a 25 mile bike ride and 2 mile run. The bike felt good, the legs bands felt tight at first, but either loosened a bit or I got used to the compression. I wish the sticky leg band part wasn't as tight, don't these folks have muscles? I run Spartan OCR races, where we also get wet, and don't have any issue with my compression running shorts riding up. I really don't think the sticky bands need to be that tight.

The shoulders ended up being okay. I did like that there is not a seam on the side of my chest. I tried on another brand that I liked, but that was a concern. With the seam higher up in the arm pit in the Zoot, there was no rubbing in that area.

My main concern was the chamois and the way it is stitched and where the seams are placed in the crotch. It was okay. I am concerned how it will be for 56 miles and if i will get bad rubbing.

The suit seemed fine on the run. Definitely helped to undo the zipper a bit, I have broad shoulders and like to have less pressure on the them while running.

Wish me luck!
