I originally was a soccer player, and played professionally for a year. But after tearing my ACL for a third time, I needed to change things. I found a passion for triathlon. It allows me to focus my energy and challenges my body and mind. And I love sharing my passion with others: from coaching to helping friends. I am so honored and excited to be a part of the Zoot Ultra Team; I have met so many incredible athletes, and they constantly inspire me!

5 things we should know about you:

- I'm in medical school
- I'm a Cat 2 cyclist and PA state time trial champion
- I played D1 soccer in college and also played one year professionally
- I am so lucky to coach an inner-city youth tri team (Cadence Cycling Foundation)....these kids are really incredible!
- My favorites: family, friends, surfing and the beach

How did you first get into triathlons?

When I studied in Australia, my boyfriend and I did some open water swims at the beach, and I learned about triathlon. So, I decided I wanted to do one when I came back to the U.S. Luckily, three former pros swam with the Masters team that I sometimes swam with, and they were so supportive and taught me how to ride a bike. My very first ride was on a borrowed bike, 50 miles of pure climbing, and I fell down A LOT. But, I loved it, and well, I was instantly hooked with my first win a few weeks later!

What was the first race you ever participated in and what place did you finish?

2007 Quakerman Triathlon, 1st AG

What is your favorite race?

Chicago Triathlon (but Wildflower is awesome too!)

What is your favorite workout?

Three times thru:
15' ride all out
10' run all out

What are your favorite Zoot products and why?

Zoot Ultra Race 3.0 shoes - comfy, good fit, light, quick, and bright
Zoot CompressRX Sports Bra - the most comfortable sports bra ever, and totally wicks away the sweat!
Zoot CompressRX tight - the best compression tights on the market (I wear mine to sleep in AND to run in when it's cold!)
Zoot Prophet wetsuit - best fitting wetsuit I've ever worn and has lots of flexibility in the arms
And all the Zoot run clothing (especially shorts and tank tops)!

What is your proudest accomplishment?

Graduating from The Wharton School of Business, and also going to medical school.

What motivates you?

Training with the male pros and my coach.
