I give 100% at everything that I do. I'm somewhat new to the sport of triathlon in that I found it only 3 years ago at the young age of 38. I immediately fell in love with the sport and lifestyle, mostly because it made me feel so full of vitality. I feel that being part of the Zoot Ultra Team is an amazing experience. I get to be part of a team with other great athletes and also get to wear and promote the best products in the sport of triathlon. Even though training takes up the majority of my free time, I still try to mix it up and maintain a balance in my life. I'm looking forward to the experience of a lifetime this year in Kona...This is a dream come true!

5 things we should know about you:

Family and friends are very important
Passion for life
Be the best that I can be at whatever I do
Make the most out of every day
Treat others as you would like to be treated

How did you first get into triathlons?

I was tired of watching sports and drinking beer as a form of recreation and needed a change in lifestyle

What was the first race you ever participated in and what place did you finish?

Wild Flower 2009 - Olympic Distance - 14th Place in Mens 35-39 Age Group

What is your favorite race?

Wild Flower Long Course

What is your favorite workout?

6+ hour / 100 mile bike rides

What are your favorite Zoot products and why?

All Zoot Shoes...Quick Lace system...Sockless...Light and Comfortable.

Zoot Calf Sleeves...The compression gives me the confidence to push as hard as possible.

Zoot Prophet Wetsuit...So comfortable that you don't even know you're wearing it.

What is your proudest accomplishment?

Qualifying for Ford Ironman World Championship in my first Ironman distance race.

What motivates you?

Setting goals...Hard Work...Personal achievement and success based on accomplishing these goals.

What is your pre-race meal?

Greek Yogurt with Granola, Blueberries, and a Banana.

What is your pre-race ritual?

Stretch, warmup, and visualize the race...Don't forget to throw on the iPod to listen to something to pump me up!

What is in your triathlon bag that you cannot live without?

Another banana!

What are your goals for the 2011 season?

Continue to improve upon last season while getting physically and mentally prepared to perform to high expectations at both distance Ironman World Championships with an emphasis on Kona.

Any other information you would like included on your page:

Live Strong and Listen to your Body!

Events you are racing in this season:

Ironman World Championship 70.3- Las Vegas (September 11), Ford Ironman World Championship (October 8)

Reservoir Olympic Triathlon, 4/17/11
Ironman 70.3 Hawaii, 6/4/11
June Lake Olympic Triathlon, 7/9/11
Folsom Long Course Triathlon, 8/13/11
San Francisco Triathlon at Alcatraz, 8/21/11
