High school brought with it football and a healthy loathing of endurance sports. After college, and packing on the pounds in law school, I took a hard swallow and started running. Much to my surprise, I enjoyed it. To my even greater surprise, I was decent. Soon after a friend convinced me to try my hand at triathlon and after a local mini sprint, I was hooked. A friend convinced me to give it a shot after a local 10K. </p> <p><b>What was the first race you ever participated in and what place did you finish?</b></p> <p>Redondo Beach Sprint Triathlon; 9th in AG</p> <p><b>What is your favorite race?</b></p> <p>Kona</p> <p><b>What is your favorite workout?</b></p> <p>Power blocks up Mt.
