I use this shoe for training. Here in the North East, and this shoe has held up thru all of the seasons. I am on my third pair of zoots, and am currently shopping for a fourth. I will not buy another pair of shoes for running.

This was the first sockless shoe I have owned. Im a heavy runner abd needed the extra support for races. This shoe filled the role. during a half marathon, a heavy rain storm flooded part of the course and I was glad I was wearing this shoe while running through ankle deep water

This was my first venture into sockless running shoes. I used the Zoot Shoe Finder and it matched me to this shoe so I gave it a whirl. I was amazed at how good this shoe felt right out of the box. I was told that sockless running would need a slow transition to get used to it but the way this shoe was designed I was able to a 10k sockless within a week. My longest run sockless with these shoes was about 15 miles and no hot spots or issues. Total these shoes lasted me about 350 miles. Great shoe, wish they still made these.

One suggestion... Since these are best worn without socks, it would be nice if these shoes would do a better job of moving moisture away from the foot. They aren't bad, but this change would make them fantastic.

These shoes were fantastic. Very comfortable for training runs and sprint to half Ironman distance triathlons. Probably not ideal for longer distance running (marathons or longer).

I am a 6'4" 200 Lb. triathlete who requires stability and cushioning. Zoot gave me all of this and then some in the Ultra Kane. The stability, cloud-like cushioning, light-weight, compression type fit with the bare foot option makes for the perfect short or long distance running shoe. I have been dedicated to another brand for years and had no issues changing after just a few runs. The Ultra Kane has by far made me a happier runner!
