Comments about Zoot Sports Men's Z Force 1.0 Wetzoot:

I purchased this Zoot Suit force 1.0 at the recommendation of a friend who coaches swimming and because I was preparing for my first sprint Triathlon. I am a strong biker but the swim event needed work and I started 6 months prior to my first event. I don't float well and the extra buoyancy of the suit helps with breathing especially in low density, fresh water. I wore the suit in the pool every time I swam. Closer to event time this was four times a week a minimum of 1000 yds each session. The suit tends to get hot in the pool but its not a problem. The suit can be flooded to cool off.

The cold water of February in Mission Bay is 65 or less and its mind numbing. Entering an outdoor unheated pool in December I had vertigo due to the cold on my head, so the swim cap is a must in cold water. Overall the suit and cap is the only way to properly address the cold water, flotation and breathing of an open water event.

The suit is comfortable to wear a bit of a struggle to get on and off (i'm 198 lbs) but its useful for training in pools or open water. the liner is comfortable the construction very durable. All the seams, zipper etc is intact after 1/2 year of near constant use. There is some pilling around the neck liner but that's all. Great product.

Comments about Zoot Sports Men's Z Force 1.0 Wetzoot:

I bought this suit through REI after completing my first open water triathlon - I was hooked. I used another brand's sleveless suit in 65 degree water, but that was all the local shop was renting, so better than nothing. I unfortunately was unable to use the suit in a race scenario until this past weekend. Comparing the two, I would have to rate this suit at or above the same level for a much more affordable price point. In practical use, the suit keeps you at water level with no effort. the placement of thicker neoprene at key body points made it easy to rotate my arms, even with the suit being ever so slightly on the small side (I ordered a medium as i fell at the top end of the sizing chart - but am planning to improve my size so the medium should be the right side for me soon - if I can only lay off of the chocolate cookies!). my legs felt comfortable floating at or just below water surface and my times showed a drastic decrease in drag. With the same level of effort, over a 1000m swim, my 100m splits improved by 19 seconds. This could be because I have 'okay' body position without the suit, but for those of us who are not perfect in the art of swimming (and it is an art), I will take every advantage I can.

One feature I really like is the added velcro on the zip pull. it keeps the leash neatly out of the way and in an easy grab point for quick take-off.

Having used this suit only a few times, it is hard to determine if the suit will withstand long term usage, but so far, I like it.
